Debate Deep
It's not about overwhelming you with materials. It’s about providing support that’s developed with clarity and direction.
Topic Releases
Double the Updates
With an Apollo Debate subscription you receive two releases per topic.
The first will be the standard release prior to debating the resolution while the second will be distributed after a month of debate.
The second release will focus on the evolution of the resolution after rounds have occurred, based on subscriber feedback. The additional release includes evidence and arguments but emphasizes trends in case development, resolution interpretation, resolution ground, and rebuttal stories.
About the First Release
Separate Pragmatic and Philosophical Topic Overviews
Summer Releases
Subscribers will receive additional LD materials throughout the summer. They include:
Apollo Debate’s Introductory Guide to Lincoln-Douglas Debate
The book is inclusive of all issues and can be read front to back by competitors of any level. However, with an indexed series of 2 to 4 page, narrowly focused articles, the series is designed to encourage competitors to return to the books and re-read passages as their skills evolve, their perception changes, and their need for a specific discussion arises.
An Introduction to Logic and Argumentation
Similar to the instructional book, this release focuses on developing LD argumentation skills.
